The Good News
Apart from Jesus Christ, the Gospel (translates as "The Good News") is the center of a life following God. It is Gods way of displaying his love, and is the culmination of Gods plan to redeem the sinful nature which we inherited from mans first sin. Ask yourself something right now. Have you ever lied? Ever used the Lords name in vain? stolen anything even of a small value? Had sex outside of marriage? Everyone would say yes to at least one of these, I myself have done all of these things, many, many times. When we take part in these acts, we are directly violating Gods perfect law, the law in which he gave us so that may lead a clean life, one in honor of the one who made us.
So if you were to be judged by the Lord come judgement day, would you be innocent or guilty? if you are being honest with yourself you will most definitely say "guilty". Does this mean we are damned to hell? of course not. God knows that we all fall short of his glory. If you think doing good deeds will counteract your sin, you are very wrong, it is IMPOSSIBLE to earn our way to heaven.
Mark 10:18
...There is none good but One, that is, God.
Imagine you are in court facing charges, and you say to the Judge, "please forgive me of my charges, look at all the good I've done." Now of course a good honest Judge will say, "what are you on about? you've broken the law, you've got to pay the fine!"
Being good can't save you, the debt for your sins must be paid, because our God, is a just God.
Well here's the good news my friends, you and I broke the law, and Jesus paid the fine.
Romans 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
A very common misconception is that sinners, or unbelievers will burn in Hell for eternity, and to this people say, "what type of good, loving God would do that?". Well guess what you'd be right, a good god wouldn't do that. The bible teaches that those who believe and repent of their sin will dwell forever on a restored and perfect earth with God. While those who chose not follow God, will be killed and remain dead for eternity, after all if you don't want a relationship with God now? then why would he bring you to worship him forever in paradise? we all have free will, God will not force us into his presence.
Well do you want to know how to inherit this free gift, and yes please remember, it is a free gift, we cannot earn heaven, none of us deserve it. Its very simple my friends, you must believe in the Son of God, Jesus Christ, and repent of your sins, and in doing these things, The Lord will baptise you in the Holy Spirit, and you will become a completely new creation with new desires, a desire to build a relationship with the God who made you, isn't that awesome!
2 Corinthians 5:17
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
Titus 3:5
5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
Now if you're ready, stop for a moment, take a few deep breaths, bow your head, and recite this prayer...
Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, that you died on the cross to rescue me
from sin and death and to restore me to the Father. I choose now to turn from my
sins, my self-centeredness, and every part of my life that does not please you. I
choose you. I give myself to you. I receive your forgiveness and ask you to take
your rightful place in my life as my Savior and Lord. Come reign in my heart, fill
me with your love and your life, and help me to become a person who is truly
loving—a person like you. Restore me, Jesus. Live in me. Love through me.
Thank you, God. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
I hope this Gospel has moved your soul, and pray to the Lord that whoever is reading this, is moved by His Holy Spirit, repents of their sins, and becomes born again.
Glory be to The Father, and to The Son, and to The Holy Spirit, forever and ever amen
